ALAMOSA – The annual Alamosa Round-Up demolition derby took place Saturday with several cars entered.
The story of the derby was Teeka Chacon, who won two events.
Chacon started by winning the old school class. Ryan Cordova was second and Zeke Gallegos was third.
George McAlear was named the Most Aggressive Driver.
Chacon came back later in the night and won the large car class. Jon Herbal was the second-place car, just finishing seconds behind Chacon. Sophia Powell finished in third.
In the mini car event, Cameron Chacon was the winner, followed by Coy Cordova in second and Alessi Lopez in third.
Jelani Martinez was them ost aggressive driver.
There was also an ATV Morocross barrel race. Zeke Gallegos was the winner in 24.87 seconds, followed by Derek Martinez in 24.90, and J.C. Maestas in 25.16.
