Austin-based Flyin’ ‘A’s at Society Hall Friday night

ALAMOSA — It seems that those fine and friendly music aficionados who run Society Hall have embraced a new practice: they’ll keep booking energizing, memorable and exciting talent to come to Alamosa as long as the (also) fine and friendly community keeps on showing up to listen to who is on stage this week.

And, once again, the symbiosis is perfect, as it seems both Society Hall and their community of fans are destined to continue their winning streak.

Society Hall is thrilled to welcome the high-powered Texas Americana duo The Flyin' A's to the stage on Friday, June 5th at 7:30 pm. Doors will open at 6:30. Tickets are $20 and are available at the Green Spot at 711 State Ave in Alamosa, or online at www.societyhall.org. The concert will also stream live on the Society Hall Facebook page and You-Tube channel.

The Flyin' A's bring a fresh, high-energy twist to Americana with a distinct Texas Kick that can’t be missed. This dynamic, Austin-based husband and wife duo who first met at the Kerrville Folk Festival can be counted on to infuse every note with the soul of their roots. Known for their exceptional songwriting, stunning harmonies, and unforgettable live performances, the Flyin' A's are a force to be reckoned with in the Americana scene. And they have the accolades to prove it.

Their album, You Drive Me Crazy, earned a spot on the 2017 first-round Grammy ballot for “Best Americana Album” and took the duo on tours through the US, UK, and EU.

No Holds Barred, dropped in February 2020 just before the global shutdown, yet still quickly climbed the charts and receivrf glowing reviews. A re-release in the spring of 2022 was met with enthusiasm, and their summer 2022 tour across the US and EU further solidified their growing international presence.

A burgeoning cross-Atlantic collaboration marks an exciting new chapter for the duo, elevating their musicianship and pushing their creative boundaries to new heights, bringing an exciting new spin to their already award-winning sound while blending influences from both sides of the pond into something uniquely their own.

And now, The Flyin' A's are working on a new album with award winning producer Ron Rogers at Up The Lane Recording Studio in Wales, UK called "Nothing Left To Hide" through a cross Atlantic collaboration between their UK and Texas music family.  The album is set to release in February 2027.

From Stuart Adamson's blazing lead guitar work and raw vocals to Hilary Claire Adamson's powerhouse voice and mesmerizing harmonies, it's clear why this duo continues to build momentum worldwide. Combining the best of Texas country, southern blues, folk, and gospel, the Flyin' A’s have crafted a sound that's all their own and keeps fans coming back for more.

“A musical duo that is so hot, you’ll wanna cool your jets... land and take a listen to The Flyin’ A’s,” says Jason Wheeler of CBS News.

"This charisma laden duo grabs you by the neck and slaps you silly. Hillary Claire Adamson exudes enough pizzaz to heat a building and her low key cool hubby Stuart compliments her sound so well.”  “Eddie The Edge" Houston Music Review

But decide for yourself. Check out the Flyin’ ‘A’s “I Won’t Stop Loving You”. If you liked what you heard, now imagine about 90 minutes of that same energy in a venue like Society Hall.
