It is with a heavy and broken heart to announce the passing of Rhonda L. Garcia on April 4, 2026. Rhonda was born July 12, 1971 to Priscilla Tafoya and Joseph Cordova.
She is survived by her most loved and cherished Yorkie, Logan, her children Arianna Encinas and Steven Encinas; siblings Davine Pacheco, Tonine Gossart-Brown, Adrian Price, Richard (Rayna) Cordova, Alan (Camisha) Cordova; as well as step-siblings, Orlando Martinez, Norman (Maribel) Martinez, Consuelo (Angela) Martinez-Moya, Valerie Martinez and Juanita Cordova; much loved God-children, nieces and nephews and great niece.
Rhonda lived a courageous bold life with much obstacles that she overcame with a strong stubborn mind and heart. She loved to send simple text messages to family and friends daily, just simple gestures to let you know you were thought of. She was a raw unfiltered spirit willing to voice her feelings and thoughts. She would put a smile or laugh on your face with such comments and stories she told. Rhonda enjoyed the joy of giving to others with her stories, crafts, cooking and baking her delicious desserts. She was very creative. Rhonda also enjoyed nature drives, taking pictures and an occasional adventurous trip.
A rosary will be held August 7th 6:00 p.m., Funeral mass August 8th 10:00 a.m., both will be held in Plaza at the St. Francis of Assisi church followed by burial of ashes at San Luis Valley Cemetery in Monte Vista.
