Rio Grande County Weed District is seeking a seasonal, part-time Weed Spray Technician for the summer months (mid-May through August/September).  General duties include spraying noxious weeds with chemical solutions and monitoring weed populations within all areas of Rio Grande County, in addition to all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of noxious plants, have a valid driver’s license, be 18 years or older, know how to operate a standard transmission and ATV/4-wheeler & able to keep good records and fill out reports in a timely manner.  Position is Part-Time, 20-40 hrs. a wk., Pay range $14.81-$15.37/hour DOE.  Holiday Pay if holiday falls on a normal workday and option to participate in the County Retirement program.   Application and Job Description is on https://riograndecounty.colorado.gov/ under Employment tab.  Please return Application and signed Job Description to Human Resources (humanreousrces@riograndecounty.org ).  The deadline for applying is May 1, 2025. Road & Bridge Operator I WANTED:  Saguache County Road and Bridge is hiring for Operator I positions….starting at $20.39/hour for those with a CDL License REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants must have a current valid Commercial Driver License (CDL).  Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and six months or more of relevant experience.  Prospective employees applying with Saguache County, please note that the chosen candidate will be required to submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check, before being hired.
