ALAMOSA – San Luis Valley Trout Unlimited invites all interested individuals to their annual "Flies and Lies" Holiday Social at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, at Spare Keg Brewerks, 625 Main St., Alamosa. 

The Flies and Lies Social is an informal event where members provide fly tying demonstrations and people can share stories and tales of the past fishing season while enjoying local brews. 

Everyone is welcome to bring their fly tying tools and materials as well. 

“If you are interested in learning about fly tying and local fly patterns, Trout Unlimited's conservation work, or just looking for information regarding local waters, this meeting would be a great place to start. It's sure to be a fun and informative event. We will also be selling tickets for a drawing for 4 tickets to Wolf Creek Ski Area, $5 a ticket or 5 tickets for $20,” organizers stated.
