ALAMOSA —Megan Lang (center) with Tu Casa, accepted a special proclamation from the Alamosa City Council on Oct. 2 honoring Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). Lang announced that on Oct. 17 at noon, Tu Casa will host a free DVAM themed ‘Lunch and Learn,’ in the conference room at SLV Behavioral Health on Airport Road in Alamosa. On Oct. 24, Tu Casa will also hold a Light up the Night event at Cole Park in Alamosa to honor survivors of domestic violence and their loved ones. The gathering begins at 6:30 p.m.
