ALAMOSA – The season came to a conclusion for the final two San Luis Valley high school football teams as they were defeated in the quarterfinals on the road.
Haxtun 54, Sanford 8
Haxtun scored first but Sanford tied the score at 8-8.
After that it was all Fightin’ Bulldogs. They led 16-8 after the first quarter, and they had a big second quarter to increase their lead to 48-8 at halftime.
Haxtun scored one more time in the third quarter.

The Mustangs finished the season with seven wins and four losses.
Otis 66, Sierra Grande 6
The Bulldogs got off to a strong start as they led 30-0 at the end of the first quarter. The increased their lead to 52-0 at halftime and to 66-0 after the third quarter.
The Panthers avoided the shutout with a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Statistics for Sierra Grande were unavailable.
The Panthers’ final record was nine wins and one loss.
