ALAMOSA – The Southern Peaks League released its volleyball All-League teams for both Classes 2A and 1A earlier this week.

Class 2A

League champion Del Norte had the most All-League selections with five. Brynley Brown and Reece Brown were both first team selections, Hadley Leggett was a second team pick, and Emma Parra and Kailee Gallegos were both honorable mention.

Sanford had four selections and it was led by Shasta Bond who was named the league’s Class 2A Player of the Year. Bond was also first team along with Brooklynn Reynolds. Claire Crowther was second team, and Bella Peterson was honorable mention.

Center had three selections. Ximena Miranda was first team, Presley Wilson was second team, and Dulce Palma was honorable mention.

Monte Vista had two selections. Aiyana Chavez was a second team pick, and Abbi Ortega was honorable mention.

Del Norte’s Chance Canty and Sanford’s Melissa Faucette were Co-Coaches of the Year.

Rounding out the 2A team were Buena Vista with three selections, and Crested Butte with two.

Class 1A

Class 1A League champion Sargent had had the most selections with six and it was led by Reese Anderson and Kandace Pargin who were the Co-Players of the Year. Both were first team selections along with Pargin’s twin sister, Kimmy.

Catie Deacon and Makenzie Consaul were both second team, and Bella Anderson was honorable mention.

Sargent’s Sami Cotton was the Coach of the Year.

Sangre de Cristo and Sierra Grande both had four selections.

For the Lady Thunderbirds, Hallie Henry and Kylie Smit were first team, Jaydra Cordova was second team, and Jezabelle Bieriger was honorable mention.

For the Lady Panthers, Eneria Quintana and Ahlea Garcia were first team, Audrianna Gerrardo was second team, and Jaylyn Quezada was honorable mention.

Antonito had three selections. Leanna Navares was first team, Ashlyn Romero was second team, and Alyssa Abeyta was honorable mention.

Centennial had two players selected. Reina Aguilera was second team, and Laila Garcia was honorable mention.

Rounding out the 1A team was Mountain Valley’s Milley Knight who was honorable mention.
