ALAMOSA — The San Luis Valley Regional Airport had a remarkable year in terms of air passenger numbers, marking a significant growth trajectory. According to Will Hickman, the Airport Manager, in 2024, the airport had 12,077 enplanements, up from 10,904 in 2023 and 8,851 in 2022.

ALAMOSA — The San Luis Valley Regional Airport had a remarkable year in terms of air passenger numbers, marking a significant growth trajectory. According to Will Hickman, the Airport Manager, in 2024, the airport had 12,077 enplanements, up from 10,904 in 2023 and 8,851 in 2022. 

Under Federal Aviation Administration rules, the San Luis Regional Airport, with its 12,077 enplanements in 2024, is now eligible for $1 million in federal funding annually, a testament to its promising future. 

Passenger enplanements is widely used in the aviation industry, meaning a revenue passenger. 

Regarding the 2024 numbers, Hickman said, "To my knowledge, this is the highest number we have ever seen here at ALS. So, we are very pleased to hear that these numbers are trending upwards every year."
