ALAMOSA – The Intermountain League championship meet took place on Oct. 5 at the McGinn Memorial Challenge in Pagosa Springs.
Centauri High School won both the boys and girls championships, while Alamosa’s Ethan Merrick and Elizabeth McQuitty were the individual champions.
Merrick ran the course in 18:59.67, and McQuitty had a time of 21:32.86.
The Centauri boys were led by Carson Bagwell who finished second overall in 19:24.36, and Lincoln Bagwell who was fourth overall and third in league in 20:09.95.
Mckenzie Torres led the Lady Falcons as she was fourth overall and second in league in 23:18.48. Kourtney Heikes was fifth overall and third in league in 23:23.04, and Bailey Graber was seventh overall and fifth in league in 24:15.52.
Alamosa was third overall in the girls race and second in league. The Mean Moose boys were sixth overall and third in league.
