Silver Thread Studio Tour seeking participants

The Silver Thread Studio Tour will be held on Aug. 14 and is seeking artists to participate in South Fork and Creede. The Studio Tour showcases talented and creative artists in the area from new artists to those with national recognition. Previous venues include private homes, private studios and art galleries where artist show their work.

Artists will share ideas, answer questions, and or perform demonstrations to the public. Artwork will be showcased and available for purchase. All types of artists are encouraged to apply including painting, jewelry, pottery, glass blowing, stained glass, photography, wood carving, papermaking, sculpture, wind chimes, metal arts, deer skin, rocks, furniture, ceramics; and fiber arts such as quilting, weaving, spinning yarn, knitting, felting and various surface design techniques.

Artist locations must be along the Silver Thread Scenic Byway, Highway 149, beginning in South Fork, through Creede and ending at The Studios at Bristol.
