SAN LUIS — Jack Johnson, 38, was arrested July 27 on the 900 block of Pedro St. in San Luis.
Jack was seen in that area when he took Deputy Cruz Soto on a short foot pursuit.
He was actively resisting arrest and believed to be armed with a weapon when he was apprehended and taken into custody a short time later with the help of K9 Blue.
Jack was later medically cleared by SLV Health Emergency Department for minor injuries during the K9 apprehension.
He was wanted on three felony warrants out of Costilla County, one Warrant out of Pueblo County and one Warrant out of the Colorado Department of Corrections (DOC).
Warrants out of the Costilla County Sheriff's Office and DOC included warrants for escape.
